Border Patrol Qualifications.Those with legal knowledge of import and export laws are ideal candidates for the job of import specialist. These men and women work on or near ports of entry inspecting cargo, speaking with ship captains, and studying cargo manifests, all in the effort to detect and prevent illegal substances from entering the country as well as undocumented goods and persons.
